Rolls
Support
Rolls collects the photos your friends took of you. It is made by Octave Studios in Reykjavík. If something is broken or unclear, write to us and a person will answer.
Contact
We answer within two business days. Include your device model, your iOS version, the app version (Settings → About), and what you were doing when it went wrong.
How it works
- Everyone in a group runs Rolls on their own phone and gives it access to their own photos. Nobody can reach into anyone else's library.
- You enroll once by taking a few photos of yourself. The app turns your face into a numeric signature on your device. The photos you enroll with never leave your phone.
- When you scan a roll, the matching runs on your phone. Photos of your friends are only sent after you approve them.
Common questions
- Can someone see my camera roll? No. Matching happens on your device and only the photos you approve are sent.
- A photo of me is missing. The friend who took it has to scan and approve it first. Ask them to open the group and develop the roll.
- Someone was matched wrong. Mail us. Do not send the photo unless we ask, and never send a photo of someone who has not agreed to it.
- How long do photos stay? A delivered photo expires 30 days after it is sent, or 7 days after you download it, whichever comes first.
- How do I leave or delete everything? Leave the group in the app, or mail us to delete your account, your face signature, and everything tied to it. See the privacy policy.
